My major or field of study is Medical and Health Humanities. My particular area of interest is health Bioethics and Health Policy.
My favorite aspect of this field is that it encompasses philosophy, ethics, history, literature, and social sciences. Medical humanities programs train medical practitioners.
However, health humanities link health and social care disciplines with arts and humanities.

The humanistic sciences are relevant when numerous people’s perspectives on issues are compiled to answer questions or even create questions. In my field, I have learned about the importance of ethics, philosophy, arts, social science, and literature to influence the debate on good medicine and care in society.

Problems or issues in my field that I have learned about in my classes are ethical dilemmas.
My interest in ethics in Medical and health humanities is to humanize medicine and increase well-being and healing for individuals and society.
By the end of my studies, I would like to help health care professionals, policymakers, and community members explore the challenging ethical questions that have accompanied scientific advances and changes in our health care delivery system.
