As part of her doctoral dissertation, she is delving into the critical subject of disaster impacts on public health infrastructure and the effects of COVID-19 on immigrants. At Cass Community Social Services in Detroit, Michigan, she served as as an intern the low-income population, collaborating with volunteer groups to ensure the delivery of comprehensive services to formerly homeless residents, demonstrated her commitment to community care and empowerment.
Her leadership skills shine through her role as a Volunteer Coordinator at Motown Mission, where she efficiently organized volunteers for economic disaster recovery work, contributing to individual and communal transformation.
